1.
Can I sell the items I make from your patterns?
Yes,
most definitely. You are welcome to sell the finished items at
crafting markets, stalls, shops, in online stores or auction
sites. I do ask that as a professional courtesy that you give me
credit as the designer. A simple inclusion such as "Made by
{your name}, Designed by Neverending Thread" or "Based on an
original design from Neverending Thread". Mass production,
however, is not permitted. Please contact me for written
permission if you want to make and sell more that 50 items of any
pattern.

2.
If I buy your pattern, I can copy off a few to pass around to my
crafting friends, right?
WRONG!
This is an infringement of my copyright. You can copy the actual pattern
pieces (not the instructions) for your own personal use only.
Making copies for distribution, whether you are selling or giving away
the copies is against International Copyright Law.
Please
note: I reserve the right to refuse to sell my patterns to those persons
proven to me to be illegally copying and distributing them. I am
sad to say that I have proof of this happening.

3.
I bought one of your patterns and now I've changed my mind. Can I
return it?
Due
to copyright restrictions, we have a "no return" policy on
patterns, as do most designers. Please choose carefully when
making your purchases.

4.
I have a doll that I designed myself. I used one of your
patterns but I changed it a bit and added my own spin so that makes it
my design now, doesn't it?
In
a word - NO it doesn't! One of the great myths circulating around
the crafting world is that if you change a design by 10% or more, it
makes it your original design. Not true - and you are leaving
yourself open to legal action if you do this. If you start a
project using anyone's pattern but your own, then it is not your own
work and it is not your own design. You can be influenced by the
style of another designer but you cannot use their patterns in any way
to produce your own "original" work. In this day and
age, the crafting world is a surprisingly small place. It is
extremely likely that copy cat designs will be spotted and the
designer will be notified. Please don't do this. It is
considered theft of intellectual property just makes a difficult
situation for all concerned. If you see this happening and you
know who the original designer is, please let them know. They will
greatly appreciate it.

5.
I like your graphics. Can I save and use them in my crafts or on
my own site? And can I turn your photos into my own graphics?

I'm
sorry, no you don't have permission to do that. Once again, it is
a violation of copyright. I have designed and hand made my
graphics to make my site unique and if everyone uses them..then it
defeats the purpose, doesn't it!
As
for making graphics of the photographs or of any of the items I have
designed..well if anyone is going to do that ..it will be me! It's
fun coming up with your own original work and you'd be missing out on that if
I let you use mine ;-)

6.
Can I enlarge or reduce your patterns to make bigger or smaller items?
Yes
you can, but just be aware that the same copyright restrictions
apply. Any type of reproduction, enlargement or reduction is
covered under international copyright law.

7.
I would like to buy from you but I don't want to divulge
any personal information over the internet. Can I still order from
you?
Yes,
it's easy. Click on the link to the printable order form, print
out the form, fill out the details and post it to me along with your
payment. Just the same as the age old mail order!
Unfortunately though, due to high bank conversion fees, this option is
only available to Australian residents, paying by cheque or money order
in Australian currency. Credit cards cannot be accepted via
mail. Please be assured that Paypal and Paymate are both secure
sites using encrypted internet connections with very good reputations. You can visit their
sites to read their security information if you are unsure.

8.
Do you have a printed catalogue of your designs?
As
you may have noticed, this is a very new site. At present I don't
have a catalogue but as soon as I get a few more designs done, I will definitely
print one. It will be mentioned in the "What's New" page
as soon as it's done.

9.
I will be visiting in your area soon. Do you have a shop? Can I call
in and see your patterns?
No,
we don't have a bricks and mortar shop front. I work from home so
that I can be here for my children and as such don't allow personal
visits to my home. Please respect that. But I will be
adding details of any retail stores that stock my patterns soon.
You will be able to check out the real thing there!
10.
Do you ever share my personal information if I join your emailing list
or order from you? No
- Never! Any information I receive through this site is not
passed on to any third party for any reason. I do not sell or
share your email or postal addresses or any other information.
11.
What is an "e-pattern"? An
e-pattern is a different format for buying your patterns.
Instead of receiving a printed pattern in the mail as is usually done,
you will receive a .pdf file in an email. This is especially good
for those people who like instant gratification of having the pattern in
their hands very quickly. The file will include a colour pic, pattern
cover, instructions and the full sized pattern, just like a regular
printed pattern. You print off the pattern on your own printer.
E-patterns are cheaper, faster and of course, there are no postage
charges so you save money all round. You
will need a program to open .pdf files, although most computers come
with one when you buy them. If you don't have a program, Adobe
Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free at the Adobe
site. The advantage of using .pdf files is that they print off
exactly the same size as the designer has intended them too so there are
none of the sizing problems you may have had with when downloading and
printing files in other formats.
12.
When I buy an e-pattern, I can send it on to my friends when I have
printed it off myself - yes? No!
The same copyright applies to e-patterns as to ordinary printed
patterns. When you buy an e-pattern, you are buying it for your
own personal use only.
